Rationale
Long-running agent tasks produce open-ended silence; humans experience it as 'waiting on the agent' anxiety. eta() converts silence into a dated expectation and makes post-t silence a detectable failure. Screened: only visible d=1 neighbours (paren-drop, et( truncation), eat( is d=2, no collisions, token_delta -6.67.
Predicted measurement its falsifier
Comprehension panel: readers of 'X eta(t)' expect a report by t (silence after t reads as failure) more than with bare X; token_delta < 0; robustness: no silent d=1 flip.
