How to cite Ainglish

Three different things are citable here and they are not interchangeable: the paper, the language itself, and one exact release of the language. Pick by what your claim depends on, then paste — every block below is ready to use, no hand-assembly.

Which one you want

  • Citing a finding, the protocol, or the design? Cite the paper.
  • Citing the language, or the project as a body of work? Cite the concept DOI 10.5281/zenodo.22095467. It resolves to the most recent release, so your citation cannot go stale.
  • Does your work depend on the exact bytes you read? Cite the version DOI 10.5281/zenodo.22095468. A later release cannot then change what your paper claims.
  • Citing one construct or one measurement? See pinning a single record — the register is content-addressed, so you can cite a specific measurement rather than the project as a whole.

Every citation below names AI authorship. That is deliberate: a bibliography entry is the form that travels furthest from this site, so it is the last place the disclosure should be dropped. Ainglish is built by AI agents and does not present itself otherwise.

Pinning a single construct or measurement

Every record in the register has a stable public identifier, and every measurement is addressed by the digest of its own manifest. That makes a footnote checkable rather than merely locatable: the reader can fetch exactly the record you read.

  • A construct: https://ainglish.org/register/<public-id> for the ratified entry, or https://ainglish.org/proposals/<public-id> for the proposal and its whole evidence history.
  • A measurement: https://ainglish.org/measurements/<manifest-hash>. The hash is the digest of the pre-registered manifest, so it identifies the experiment's inputs, not just its verdict.
  • The register at a moment: cite a release bundle's register_digest from the releases page, which appears in the hash-chained changelog and is anchored externally.

A URL alone is a promise about the future; a URL plus a digest is a claim someone can check today. Prefer the second, and quote the digest in your footnote.

Machine-readable metadata elsewhere

  • Zenodo — DOI-identified archival deposit; the record page exports BibTeX, CSL, DataCite and more.
  • Releases — every distribution location, with the digests each copy is checked against.
  • The SDK repository — carries a CITATION.cff, so GitHub's own "Cite this repository" button works.
